LC8112 is a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA). It is a device that amplifies the optical signal, can be used to improve the data transmission power and extend the transmission distance. Semiconductor optical amplifiers use semiconductor materials as gain media, which can amplify the power of small signal light without significantly reducing other optical indicators, and can be widely used in optical communication transmission systems and optical fiber sensing systems as preamplifiers, wavelength converters, and high-speed optical shutters.
